TO SHOOT ON FILM

Using film is how I learned photography, and has always played a role in my art. Learning film from my professors in college while getting my BFA in Photography, using film for professional and wedding work, and being crazy enough to buy the same lab equipment that professional film labs use so that I could learn the in’s and out’s of everything film.

I love shooting on film, and am excited for you to learn it too.

  • Is this course good for a beginner to photography in general?

Yes! I start from the very beginning of how to take a photograph using the basic principles of photography, and walk you through all the steps of shooting on film.

I’ve never shot with the manual settings on my camera, is that ok?

Absolutely. I walk you through the manual settings, what they are, and how we use them to get a properly exposed photograph.

Do I have to watch the course in one sitting?

You can start and stop the videos and go at your own pace. If you leave, you can come back and finish the course. The course goes very in depth, so it is recommended to take your time to ensure you have the concepts down.

How long do I have access to the course?

Forever! Once purchased, you have access immediately, so if you are feeling a little fuzzy on the details later on when you’re out there in the world taking photographs, feel free to come back into the course for a little refresh.

Do I already need a film camera before I watch the course? I don’t know which one to get.

If you want to get a film camera before you start the course, make sure you change the manual settings for aperture and shutter speed.

If you are unsure of what to get, I cover different cameras and why you would choose one over the other based on your needs.

Do you cover on and off camera flash?

I very briefly cover flash in the Shoot With Couple section, but it is not a formal module.

Is any part of the course in-person?

The entire course is 100% online and video based. There is no in-person component.

    Is the course refundable?

    The course is not refundable

Is there platform after if I have questions after taking the course?

There is not a platform chat after completing the course since I put every thing I know about film into the course!
